No PA?... No Worries!

Just the mere thought of the words  'PA system' makes some of us think - $ "expensive" $  right?

Well it doesn't have to be like that. In fact we've found a few great systems for under $300 for up to five loud speakers and an amplifier that will not only pump out PetBiz Radio, but you can make local announcements too like "Cheryl... price check on 20 Kilo bag of dog food!!" or whatever...

There are way too many to list here but check out Jaycar - www.jaycar.com.au or Dick Smith Electronics www.dicksmith.com.au  for somesimple yet effective solutions.
We know many smaller retail environments (say less than 600 sq. mtrs) may not have a pre-installed PA (public address) system for many reasons.

The cool thing is PetBiz Radio does not require anything elaborate. We also realise that some shops don't have false ceilings to run speaker cablesor they may be very long shops. The list goes on and on!

So we've come up with some ideas for you - some of which we can also packageinto our service depending on what you want to do and how long you want tosubscribe.

NIFTY IDEAS TO GET SOME SOUND IN YOUR STORE

P.E.T.S - A complete Vet Clinic/Pet Retailer Radio Station In A Box! - We call it 'Pretty Simple Transmitter System'
Simple FM Transmitter can be tuned in by an old FM radio - short distances only up to 15metresThis really is just for very small retail outlets and/or veterinary clinics.

Simply plug the computer audio into the transmitter - then tune any old FM radio/boombox to the transmitter frequency and 'voila' - you've got PetBiz Radio wherever you place the FM radio!

Ok ok... don't expect to be broadcasting to your local neighbourhood, but for short distances it does the trick - we already have about 20 of these transmitters running in vet clinics today so they do work, and at about $49, they won't break the bank either!

Logitech Wireless A/V Senders from Jaycar - www.jaycar.com.au5.8Ghz Audio/Video Sender
Got Foxtel but not keen on paying for a second Foxtel box every month? - Maybe you got one of these but decided TV in the bedroom is... er... not all that romantic?

Then this is the way to go for larger premises that are unwilling or unable to run long speaker wires all over the place.
Again Jaycar sells these Logitech Wireless A/V Senders for around $89.

Logitech Powered Speakers from Dick Smith Electronics - www.dse.com.auPlug the output of the computer audio into the transmitter.

Plug the output of the receiver into a pair of powered loudspeakers like these Logitech 'bookshelf type' and away you go.

These speakers (right) are around the $50 mark and available from Dick Smith.

Best of all you can buy add-on receivers and literally place the sound wherever you feel it works best.

There are many many other - even better (read more expensive) options - but as a starting point these options are great. We've tried them all and several locations are using them right now.

Too hard to organise all this yourself? - Let us do it for you... just ask.

By the way - we have no affiliation with Logitech - just that they do make pretty good quality at reasonable prices.
You can in fact use almost anything you want to achieve a similar result.
